To keep it short and sweet, TweetChannel was wiped away from the server sometimes in 2013. We don’t know if this was due to some sort of hack, or an hosting error. In the end, it doesn’t matter.
The site simply ceased to exist. Overnight.
However we discovered this much later, because Twitter had meanwhile closed its api and made the hashtag exploration process remarkably harder. Being a side project, there was not much to do about it and the rewrite was delayed until work would give us a break.
It is now temporarily up again, but without all the articles, the guides, and the witty hashtag comments written by our content editor Jessica, whose dry humor really made TweetChannel shine.
We will try to rebuild the site from the sparse databases that are still available (sadly, Jessica has moved on greener pastures – best wishes to her for her career, she’s doing great !) but it’s unlikely that we’ll run other hashtag experiments.
Rebuilding the most recent snapshot seems the most logical approach, and this is what’s going to happen. At least for the foreseeable future.

However, due to the sheer amount of email we get (mostly spam, do those guys have nothing better to do?) no response is guaranteed. Nor can we assure that your email will reach us – this server seems not to be reliable anymore.
